What 1B Music uses
- FFmpeg 9.0.2 (libavformat, libavcodec, libavutil, libswresample) decodes the formats Android can't play by itself: APE, WavPack, TTA, Musepack, WMA, DSD, AIFF, CAF and Speex, plus Opus and Vorbis for exact gapless playback.
- It is built without any changes, with LGPL components only (no GPL or non-free parts), and ships as separate shared libraries inside the app, so you can replace them with your own build.
- To compute acoustic fingerprints, the app also contains Kotlin ports of Chromaprint and libswresample, provided here under the same license.
Rebuild or replace the libraries
- Install the Android NDK version named in the script and run
tools/build-ffmpeg-android.sh. It downloads FFmpeg, verifies its SHA-256 and builds it for arm64-v8a, armeabi-v7a and x86_64. - To use a modified FFmpeg, unpack your sources where the script expects them, or change its configure line.
- Replace
libavformat.so,libavcodec.so,libavutil.soandlibswresample.soin the app's APK for your device's ABI, sign the APKs with your own key and install them. README.txt explains each step.
